Other features in final stages of financing include STRANDED, written by Christopher Borrelli (The Vatican Tapes) with a story by Chris Morgan (The Fast and The Furious series), ALL THE RAGE, a feature adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s short story HAIRBALL, the vampire action comedy DEAD HIPSTERS, the horror films 6:45, and ALIVE and the romantic comedy HOW TO GO TO A WEDDING ALONE (currently in development with Telefilm). On the television front, the company’s slate includes the sci-fi action series ANOMALIES with Damian Kindler (Stargate SG-1, Sanctuary) attached as executive producer, futuristic actions series NEXTWORLD, the half hour comedy series THE CHRONICLES OF SARNIA, and THE Y, written by Morgan Waters and Brooks Grey (THE AMAZING GAYL PILE) . Gearshift Films is also in development on its first documentary feature AWAY FROM HOME, an experimental photographic essay on the lives of Iranian queers who escape their homeland and become refugees in search of a happier life in Canada.

Gearshift is a young and dynamic company poised to become one of Canada’s leading production entities in film and television.
